The winners of every category in Roquetas de Mar will be awarded the titles set out in the current FIDE Direct Titles table.
FIDE has adopted the following decision regarding the World Youth Championships U7–U17 2026:
CM3-2026/07 – To confirm that the winners of the World Youth Championship U7-U17 2026 (Spain) will be awarded the titles in accordance with the current Direct Titles table. To ask the QC to prepare general recommendations on the applicability of the Direct Titles Table in respect of world championships held with fast classical time control.
The champions of every category will therefore receive the direct titles set out in the FIDE Direct Titles table, even though the championship is played at 45 minutes plus 30 seconds per move.
